Northfield Taverns

Demo only. The pubs, staff and figures are made up.

Good morning. Here is last week across your six pubs.

This is what your area managers would open at 6am on a Monday. Every item says what happened, what it cost and what to do about it.

Six things to look at

Ask a question

Tap a question below, or type your own. The answers come from the pubs' own figures.

In this demo it answers the questions above and questions about any of the six pubs by name.

The Old Mill: next week's rota

Saves about £343 a week. Fewer staff on quiet weekday afternoons, more on Saturday night. Friday stays the same.

Bar staff hours only. Expected takings come from the last twelve weeks, the weather forecast and bookings.

Supplier bills checked this week

Every bill that comes into the inbox is read line by line and checked against the prices you agreed.

Weekly figures, week ending Sunday 20 September

Sent to the operations director at 6am every Monday. "Needs to take" is what each pub has to take in a week to cover its costs.

Added features

These can be switched on for any pub, on top of the morning checks. Pick the ones you want.

Added feature

Rota sent to staff, and gaps filled for you

Once the manager approves the rota, every member of staff gets their shifts by text or WhatsApp and taps to confirm. If someone can't make a shift, it offers it to whoever is free and has hours to spare, and tells the manager once it is covered.

The Old Mill, week starting Monday 28 September

Added feature

Licences, safety checks and paperwork

Keeps every renewal date and certificate for each pub in one place, and reminds the right person well before anything runs out.

Added feature

Ready for the new employment rules

The Employment Rights Act is expected to bring two changes from 2027: staff on low or zero hours contracts must be offered hours that match what they actually work, and shifts cancelled at short notice will have to be paid. The final details are still being set, so this keeps a running record now, ready for whatever the rules end up saying.

The Crown and Anchor, last 12 weeks

Shifts cancelled at short notice this quarter: 5, about £270 in pay under the new rules. Most were quiet Monday lunchtimes, which the rota now plans for in advance.

Added feature

Reviews and complaints

Reads every Google and TripAdvisor review each morning, spots the same complaint coming up more than once, and drafts a polite reply for the manager to check and post.

Example this week: three reviews for The Ferry mention waiting at the bar on Saturday night, which matches the staffing gap on the Monday morning page.

How it works

  1. It reads what your tills already record. Each night the tills send an export, or we read it straight from the till company. Nothing is installed behind the bar and nothing on the tills is changed.
  2. At 6am it checks everything. Tills, staff hours, supplier bills and stock counts, compared against the other pubs and against past weeks. Anything unusual is worked out in pounds.
  3. Your managers get a message on their phone. WhatsApp, Slack or email, whichever they already use. They can reply with a question and get an answer.
  4. Nothing happens without a person saying yes. Rotas, emails to suppliers and visit plans are all drafts until someone approves them.

Staff show up as till numbers, not names. Your data is kept private and deleted if you stop.

The free trial

One pub, running on its real figures for two weeks, free. If it is worth having, we agree a monthly fee per pub. If not, you owe nothing and the data is deleted.

The morning checks, questions, supplier bills and Monday report are the core. The added features can be switched on pub by pub, so you only pay for what you use.
